Have you or anyone you know participated in National Geographic's genographic project? It's where you take a swab of your DNA and send it to a lab where they analyze it and determine your distant ancestry. Today my uncle gave my mom the DNA kit and she's super excited about it. Haha.

i have this fear of chatting with people on the internet because i'm afraid of them thinking i'm annoying. what can i do to overcome this?

My cheeks get red really easily. Not just if i'm nervous or embarrassed. I just need enough people to stare at me, put me on the spot, ask me a question I don't know the answer to. Just make me feel like i'm being focused on, basically. It happens a lot and I try to avoid being the center of attention because of it. I guess it's kind of anxiety manifested through a physical characteristic. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? and if so..how do you deal?

6 years ago, a man broke into my friend's house while I was there. He stole $20 from her room and then proceeded to wake me up by kissing me (it was 3am. I was 15, he was 22 CREEPY). He then led me to the basement (I was half asleep) and attempted rape (he wasn't close to being successful, but still VERY traumatizing to me). He's been in prison since 2003 on the felony charge of burglary.

His next parole hearing is next month. If he gets out, he'll have to live with his parents.

BUT HERE'S THE KICKER. His parents live a block away from my parents.

Is there any way for me to get a restraining order? Is it even reasonable for me to?

How do you suggest I cope with this? The fact that he's been put away has kinda been my security blanket of sorts in this situation, but with him out, idk, I'm getting really anxious and scared :(

Turkey Soup Question
Alright, ladies. It should be obvious what this post will be about - turkey stock! It is, after all, the day after shameless turkey consumption.

I've got my trusty stock method on hand, all the ingredients at the ready, but while browsing Google for any alternatives on the soup itself, I stumbled on a page of "rules." One of them said to NEVER use cooked turkey bones for turkey stock.

. . . Yet my recipe and any turkey stock recipe I've seen tells you to simply reserve the carcass after you've cooked and eaten your meal.

Thoughts? Tips? Have I been dooming myself to less flavorful turkey soup?

EDIT: Thanks for confirming my suspicions, domestics! The ALREADY COOKED turkey bones are simmering away on the stove as we speak, and my house smells so good I could just pee about it. Yay!

I tend to feel left out if I'm not invited to things. But lately, I haven't wanted to go out with ANYONE and feel sort of trapped into things when people invite me to do stuff.

Does this happen to anyone else? Do you stay home or just go out and hope for the best?
